We visited in December nicely decorated for Christmas very good food! We also had a good desert, will be back again.
Been coming here for years. The food, service, and prices are unbeatable! Just make sure and get there early if you want in on the first round of dinner service! Good job Alpine and we wish you many more years of being in business!
This place is wonderful. Their breakfast is great, their lunch is amazing, but the dinner is what makes this place famous. There are two options for dinner: large or small fillets. That's it. And the steaks are delicious. The desert menu is terrific and larger than 2 items. Stop in to this black hills institution and you won't be disappointed.
Good food and service, 2 choices on the menu. Not huge portions... but we did split one plate. It was great tho... we had roo. For their HUGE dessert selection. We got there a 1/2 hour after dinner started and had a 45 min wait. Luckily there were shops around to keep us busy till they called us. Very cozy and candlelit atmosphere.
The food and atmosphere were excellent. A word of warning: the spatze has cheese, so if that's not your thing, about it. I highly recommend the German pretzel and the grilled beef and cheese sandwich. I've never seen so many desserts that looked so delicious!
