We needed a quick getaway and so we stayed here 3 nights. It was perfect for a family of 5 and close to all the places you want to see in the black hills. I especially appreciated the staff who genuinely care for their customers. Any time I asked about anything they took care of it immediately and also followed up to make sure it was resolved. Hill City is 2 minutes away and has a grocery store for last minute items you forgot (if you're like us that's a lot). We will be going back! Note - The coffee shop on site was a great bonus!

We just returned to MN after spending the 2016 Labor Day weekend in the Black Hills, SD. Our stay at the Pine Rest Cabins can be described in 3 words - Beautiful, peaceful and serene. The cabins provide just the kind of relaxation a short vacation stay would require. Jan and Steve, the friendly owners of the cabins, have set up each cabin with a lot of thought. Located conveniently to all the tourist attractions around the Black Hills and also to the quaint town of Hill City.
It is also a perfect place to stay for an extended day and trek in the woods on the hills behind the cabins, where one can spot the fauna of the national forest.
