I called the night before to reserve bikes and to have them dropped at our hotel the next morning. The time for drop off came and went. So I called. The daughter of the owner told me that the guy who took my call was out on a bike drop and that he didn't say anything about it. So I said, no problem, we will come to you. We get there, first there's no apology or sorry for your inconvenience. Then we get two bikes and there is an issue setting up the bikes for us. She says to us that the mechanic to fix the issue won't be here for 30 minutes. At that point we were tired of the lack of service and really the lack of empathy and the true lack of customer service. We went to Mickelson Adventure Bike rentals instead and they could not have been nicer. My advise, skip Rabbit and go to Mickelson Bike rentals.

Reserved a shuttle from Edgewood to Deadwood for 3 riders with Bryan back in early July. We were to be picked up at 4pm at the city park. 4 came and went so we called the shop and spoke to a lady and she said she'd contact Bryan. After 5:30 we gave up and found a motel in town and hitched a ride with another company the next day. Terrible service with no apologies or anything! I've never been treated this poorly by a business prior to this. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!

SHUTTLE SERVICE is awesome. Prompt and professional. Same day service. Great choice. We rode 34 miles from Dumont to Hill City. Absolutely spectacular. 5 stars for the trail AND for the shuttle.

I've been to this shop in prior years just for passes and friendly conversation with the prior owners. This time I stopped in to grab some gear and spoke with a young lady named Brook(sp?). She was quite rude and claimed the annual passes were $18 instead of $15 which I refused to pay. When I asked if that was a company policy or an overall price increase she said that's just what she was told to charge. I then asked about some of the trailheads on the Centennial trail or single track and she didn't have a clue so she asked a large bearded gentleman about it and he hands me a booklet/pamphlet with no real working knowledge of the trail. I asked of he'd ever even ridden the Mickelson and he said that he's driven it many times. I see good reviews on here, most of which are from tourists not familiar with biking in general, one of which is from the same girl who works here whom I assume is the owners daughter. I also see another poor review where there is no apology or offer to rectify. That is bad business. I believe this to occur when the owners/managers aren't completely invested in their product. Do any of these people even bicycle? Completely unsatisfactory. You can fool the tourists not the cycling community. If I could give 0 stars, I surely would!!

The bike rentals are very affordable and the bikes were in great condition. The person we rented our bikes from was very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to cycle in the Black Hills!
